The leading ladies of hollywood started 2018 as they meant to go on. Bold, ballsy and standing up for women's’ rights; our right to work without harassment, our right to equal pay and our right to wear what we want when we want.
Whilst the sea of black dresses didn’t make for the most dazzling of red carpets, the message was clear - and heard. These new school heroines rightfully took centre stage and dominated the awards through their solidarity.
Whilst it was all a very serious affair, we couldn’t help but swoon at the many beauty looks (how 2017 of us). Here are our favourite looks of the night.
Issa Rae
Winner of the Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy TV Series gong, rising star Issa Rae, wore a plunging black number with thigh high split and a beaming smile. To complement her look Issa opted for a wash of lilac shadow across her lids, and lined her lower lash line with emerald green. The seemingly contrasting colours, were the perfect partnership, off-set with fluttery lashes. it’s a smokey eye we’re keen to try.

Emily Ratajkowski
A figure-hugging, backless velvet dress was the perfect counter to Emily’s striking eye make-up. Bold red shadow is a colour we’re not getting bored of -and we love how great it looks on everybody.

Halle Berry
Halle Berry’s sheer lace mini showed off her incredible physique - and the bangs, may be our new obsession. Berry kept the eye look pretty low key, with a hint of metallic purple shadow. But the key to mastering this look is all in the cheeks
