To say that these days we are obsessed with what everyone else is doing, would be the biggest of understatements. But, to be fair to us Millennials, that has always been the case: letter writing, carrier pigeon and the golden age of Hollywood, all signal to our obsession with staying in the loop.

The internet has simply magnified this obsession.

Now, we can catch up with our favourite celebs, muses, or long lost friends, through Insta, FB and Snap; and find new friends and communities through the likes of Reddit, YouTube and Twitter.

Here at Slapp, we're kind of obsessed with keeping up too. We love to discover the latest trends, goss, or uncover how our favourite female go-getters, got to where they are.

Being a beauty-obsessive and self-confessed nosey parker, our founder Jamila, figured the best way to combine these two loves, was to have famous faces, film themselves creating their signature looks. She pitched the idea to Dazed and they didn't go for it. A couple of years later, American Vogue, had the brainwave, of having famous faces show us their makeup routines and film it.

Luckily enough, she created a beauty app and digital platform, for beauty obsessives and self-confessed nosey parkers; who all grew up, peering across the mirror to sneak a peek at their besties putting on their face.

So we decided that we had to roll with the idea, (sorry Vogue!); and asked our favourite faces, what their signature Slapp is and how they achieve it.

First up, is Elise Augustin, aka @Lumi_Lise, Video Producer for New Look and skincare obsessive.

Lumi filmed a very Vogue-esque bathroom confessional that we absolutely love. We love her Blusher technique, most of all. In fact, it actually inspired Jamila to start wearing blusher again, which according to her, came just at the time she was beginning to get a little heavy-handed with the Laura Mercier translucent powder.

So here's to being nosey! And the first in our signature series: Slapp On.
