5 Foundations Perfect for Spring

Spring is here and It's finally time to swap that heavy foundation for something lighter.  The key to a strong Spring look, is colour and glow; which is why we’re currently going mad for highlighter and blush.

Although it’s fun to focus on the bells and whistles, a beautiful base, that works to protect your skin is essential.

We want our Spring foundation to be breathable and light; and even though flashback is a pain; a burn is even worse. So without further ado, we give you 5 of our favourite foundations, for ushering in Spring.

  1. M.A.C Studio Waterweight SPF 30 Foundation (£27, House of Fraser)

M.A.C's gel based formula is extremely lightweight on the skin, making it perfect for everyday wear. This long-lasting foundation leaves skin with a natural dewy glow, and works wonders on normal to dry skin.

SPF: 30

  1. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser  (£34, John Lewis)

Although it may not be a foundation, this award winning tinted moisturiser most certainly deserves to be on this list. The oil free formula provides a beautiful coverage, whilst keeping the skin fresh and nourished all day.

SPF: 20

  1. Estee Lauder Double Wear Light (£31, Estee Lauder)

A Slapp favourite (coming soon to your Matches), this lightweight formula blends seamlessly into the skin, whilst providing great coverage. Its oils control properties leave your skin with a gorgeous sheer glow, without at all looking oily.

SPF: 10

  1. Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder (£32, Charlotte Tilbury)

Not only is this foundation light on the skin, it happily contains youth-boosting agents, to keep us looking young in the sun. Hydrating and breathable, this formula is practically perfect.

SPF: 15

  1. Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk UV foundation (£36, House of Fraser)

A water-based foundation with a  flawless finish, this claims to have a matte finish, but we love it because it actually gives our skin a luminous and natural glow. Sometimes being wrong can be alright.

SPF: 20
