We are living in the golden age of cream blushes. The days of NARS’ Orgasm Blush being the only option are long gone; replaced by Glossier’s Cloud Paint, and newbies such as Sunnies Face and EM Cosmetics. 2020 blush comes in so many forms: sticks, jelly, liquid tints, you name it.
Despite what many brands and marketing campaigns would have us believe, it is hard to find shades that fit every skin tone. So we’ve created a list of options that look great on ever skin tone.
Light
We love a cream blush, as they are so easy to blend and build up, especially as powder blushers can be too pigmented or glittery for fairer skin tones.
If you are looking for a great shimmer-free blush that’s not too pink and not too peachy, Burt's Bees 100% Natural All Aglow Lip & Cheek Stick in the shade Peony Pool, will give you that extra pop of colour. It has a coconut oil core, so it’s also hydrating and is free from parabens and synthetic fragrances.
Medium
The Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek has become a cult product for all the right reasons. Other than being a 2-in-1 stick and containing a huge amount of product, the incredible ingredients such as mango butter and avocado oil, are a huge bonus.
It’s also great on the go and can be applied with your hands or directly from the stick.
The shade Werk, is a dusty rose perfect for a medium skin tone, with warm or cool undertones.
Rich
If you have the richest complexions, it doesn’t mean you have to settle for a red. There are so many amazing shades to choose from in Glossier’s revolutionary cloud paint alone.
We love the perky Dawn for sunny days, but the rosy shade Storm for a richer hue. (Sorry we cheated!) The beauty of Glossier’s Cloud Paints is that you don’t need a lot of product, as they’re super pigmented, extremely blendable and lightweight on the skin.
