Sometimes the best thing about going out, is the getting ready. There’s nothing more soothing than giving yourself a good pamper sesh - and in all honesty our makeup always looks better for it; (apart from the times we get way to heavy handed with the highlighter/blusher/bronzer).
But if you’re feeling like going all out, before you go out out; the best way to up the ante is with a mask.
Widely considered to be the wind-down at the end of the day, masks are often overlooked in the pre-game face routine. And there are so many masks made specifically, to cover up a multitude of sins. From Bubble to Clay and Sheet, here are 5 of our faves.
For a mask that combats texture, nothing works harder than Tata Harper’s Clarifying Mask. Unlike most drying, acne-focused, wash-off masks, this one leaves skin feeling super soft and smooth. It also exfoliates to really clarify any congestion.
We’d never heard of a dry mask either, but were willing to give it a whirl since we love C Til and this mask didn’t disappoint.
This mask really ups the ante on radiance and skin is left looking bright and clear. The perfect pre-night-out mask; the results are instant and the reusable mask means you can apply it more than once!
While painfully expensive, this mask is considered a cult essential by many and for good reason.
It will make you look like you have the dewiest, softest skin; and really helps with marks from blemishes. There’s not much it can’t do.
Biologique Recherche Masque VIP 02
Another pricey one (sorry!) but if you’re going to invest in a mask than this Biologique Recherche one is so worth it. But be warned, this is perhaps the most visually un-appealing face mask of all time, and it smells like actual trash, but the results are worthwhile.
It’s incredible for breakouts, hyperpigmentation, and just all over brightening.
In a rush? No problem. If you’re limited on time when getting ready, this Vichy Double Glow Masque Peel works as a nice, gentle peel that’s done in five minutes. It also looks and smells like a peach, which is never a bad thing.
