While a slick of brow gel and dab of concealer tends to be the vibe these days, we’ll always have a soft spot for editorial makeup. MUA Robin Black, cleverly straddles the line between typical glam and editorial vibes. Her makeup is always undeniably pretty, above all else. Think cut creases, highlighter, false lashes and all of your typical Instagram fare. BIB has been going for ages, but Robin always gives her look an interesting and unique twist that never fails to take makeup photography to the next level.
We love the gorgeous Karen Yeung’s futuristic and feminine take on editorial makeup. Think glitter, gloss and ‘glass skin’. Each look has an undeniably ‘cool girl’ vibe, with artfully undone bases and flashes of shimmer and colour.
Violette is a French MUA and the new, global beauty director of Estee Lauder. Her account is full of fantastic twists on simple looks, elevating no-makeup-makeup and classic French style. Think a simple base with giant, powder blue eyeliner wings, or blurred out neon lips.
Nyma rose to fame for her iconic “the darkest shade” series on YouTube, where she puts foundation companies to the test. Her Instagram is filled with stunning looks, which are twists on new classics, yet still super wearable. Her skin always looks impeccable and her glow, is always goals.
What really stands out about Tatiana’s account is her use of colour and texture. Nothing is off limits for this MUA: five different shades of shadow; dripping wet look lips and unexpected props like tinsel. If you feel your makeup has become a little lacklustre, this is the perfect account to find inspiration you can genuinely incorporate into your next lewk.
